For the first time, Victorians are now able to experience a true Henley Hamptons home in the flesh at its latest boutique community, St Claire in Wollert.

As regal as its name, the Emperor 41 boasts five expansive living areas, four spacious bedrooms including a lavish master bedroom boudoir, two bathrooms and two powder rooms. Emma Taylor, Henley Senior Interior Designer shares her insights on how she designed and furnished the Emperor to make it standout at St Claire. It is no wonder it is one of Henley’s best-selling homes.

Fresh and inviting

Emma says, “We chose to contrast dark grey with white for a striking combination, enhanced by a beautiful dark timber floor, adding warmth and character.”

“The colours chosen gives the Emperor 41 a timeless look and enables the home owner to be creative with their interiors. You can mix old and new pieces in the Hampton style to compose a home that reflects a person’s individualistic tastes.”

Standout staircase

Stepping into the Emperor, you are met by a feature staircase, which sets the scene on the opulence that lays ahead with this stunning home.

“We wanted something to reflect the style of the home, the painted timber risers and balustrade in contrast with the stained treads create warmth with a welcome feeling to the entry.” Emma adds.

Dreamy kitchen becomes reality

The Emperor’s flawlessly appointed kitchen are what kitchen dreams are made from.

“We loved creating the kitchen with dark shaker cabinet doors and fabulous SMEG™ appliances, the tiled marble splash back adds character and a touch of quirk. The kitchen also boasts a fabulous secondary Butler’s kitchen for those people who love to cook and entertain.” Emma adds.

First impressions count

What sets the Emperor 41 apart from other designs is its façade which celebrates the Hamptons with its crisp, head turning features.

Emma says, “The pitched roofed alfresco displayed for the first time with cladding ceiling, complements the Hamptons style scheme.

“The façade obviously is in line with the timeless Hampton style look of the internal scheme. It was therefore important to us to follow through with the same approach with contrasting crisp white windows/features with the deep charcoal main colour of the home, complemented by the beautiful Matt Colorbond® Monument roof and timeless silver ash travertine pavers to the front porch.”
