We’re celebrating Lunar New Year by welcoming the Year of the Horse - a zodiac sign known for strength, energy, independence and forward momentum - with a vibrant cultural tradition inside one of our newest display homes.

A traditional lion dance toured the home, bringing movement, colour and rhythmic energy into each space. As the lion made its way through the entry, living areas and entertaining zones, it carried with it the symbolic blessings of good fortune, prosperity and protection for the year ahead.

The start of the Year of the Horse invites us to embrace new beginnings with confidence. In and around the home, this spirit encourages families to move boldly into the year, fill their spaces with creativity and purpose, and create environments that support growth, ambition and joy.

To celebrate even further, we’re also running a Lunar New Year colouring competition for children aged 12 and under. There are three $50 Toyworld vouchers up for grabs. Simply pick up a colouring sheet from your nearest display centre and drop your completed artwork back at the same location. Entries close 1 March, with the winners selected by 3 March.

We’re thrilled to mark the occasion in a way that honours culture, community and the optimism that the Year of the Horse represents. With its uplifting symbolism and dynamic energy, it sets a powerful foundation for the year ahead.
