Across every corner of our business, there are incredible mums. Those who give their all to excel at their jobs, and even more to be the best mothers, grandmothers and nurturers to those who depend on them most.
In celebration of Mother’s Day this year, we called for nominations to uncover Henley’s greatest super mums. Our goal? To applaud and honour them at a special event - a moment to connect with like-minded colleagues, enjoy delicious treats, and let their creativity shine.
Among the guests, we were delighted to host:
- Sharna – a mum who is adored not just by her own grown-up children, but who is also the ‘work mum’ to the entire marketing team
- Christine and Bernadette – two wonderful mums who nurture so many of our clients as part of our customer experience program
- Steph - who manages to balance the titles of Henley’s No.1 Marketing Manager, with World’s Greatest Mum to Lily, Harry, and her two fur-babies.
- Kathy, Brittany and baby Eden, whose attendance marked a special moment shared across three generations
- Eva, Mikayla, Jai and Stella – who might one day be Henley’s next generation of super stars
Plus a dozen more incredibly deserving Henley super mums.
This special gathering was our way of saying thank you.
It was a chance to recognise not just their contribution to our business, but also the important role they play as mothers - supporting, guiding and inspiring every day. The challenges faced by a working mum can sometimes go unnoticed, but this was a moment to celebrate the quiet strength, sacrifice and dedication it takes to show up for both career and family, every day.
Set within our Valletta display home in Glen Waverley, the afternoon showcased everything our homes are designed for - bringing people together in a welcoming, relaxed environment.
On arrival, guests were greeted with mimosas, and the home quickly came abuzz with conversation, laughter and a sense of connection.
Our mums were treated to a beautifully curated high tea, creating the perfect setting to slow down and enjoy time together. Between shared stories and plenty of laughter, the morning offered an opportunity to reflect on just what a worthy feat it is to be a working mum.
“As a relatively new mum, I can definitely attest to the hard work every mum is required to put in, and the sacrifices that sometimes need to be made,” says Aimee from our drafting team.
As scones were devoured and cups of tea sipped, our mums and their children had the chance to get both messy and creative in a hands-on terrarium-making class run by Bloomin’ Marvellous Flower School.
Before taking home their living keepsakes, the group also got a sneak peek at our under-construction Legano display home, being built right next door! Eva, Mikayla and Stella, daughters of three of our guests, thought it was especially cool to see a real-life building site, and get a little taste of what working at Henley is all about.
From all of us at Henley, we wish a very happy Mother’s Day to our team, our customers and our wider community – whatever being a mum means to you.
